Great property, amenities are as described. Please note the smallest bedroom does not have an ensuite or water views. There is a full bathroom in the hall next to it.

The host did an amazing job communicating before, during, and after our stay- top notch! Mahalo!! It had the most amazing view, serene & luxurious pool and landscaping- a perfect place for our adult kids and us to enjoy the outdoors each day! With a rental car you can get to anywhere you want on the west side easily, including restaurants, excursions, beaches, and shopping! I am a clean-freak about linens and bathrooms, and this house passed with 5 stars! I have never said that before this stay. I also loved that they provided snorkel gear, boogie boards, and chairs for the beach. We would definitely recommend this place and are looking for a time to revisit! :) Mahalo!

The house is located in one of the most beautiful areas on the Big Island. It's an area that feels natural and exclusive but is only a 10 to 15- minute drive from town depending on which direction you go. The location is hard to beat. It was a great base to explore the entire island and we did! The ocean views are breathtaking and a pure joy to wake up to every morning. The landscaping is diverse and provides tropical views from the windows and driveway. We actually posed for photos using the flowers along the driveway as a backdrop. It is that pretty! The house amenities and furnishings are top-notch. There was clearly a lot of thought put into the house to make your stay carefree and very comfortable. The host, is an excellent communicator. She is passionate about making your stay at her home the very it can be. Our trip was seamless and relaxing due to all of her hard work, The bedrooms have very comfortable beds and luxurious amenities. The kitchen was awesome ... top-notch everything. The pool is the real star of the house. It is beautiful, relaxing, and fun. Love the volcano effect at night. Next to the pool, there's a great place to enjoy games together. We wish we had more time to just hang out at the house. My children are adults (25 &29). As they get older, I know our "family of 4 "trips are limited. If this was our last one together, the memories we made here were priceless! We will forever remember our stay. Really want to thank the host! The McGraw's

I can't express how wonderful this property was. From the comfort of the home, the amenities, the gourmet kitchen, the communication with the host, the experience, the recommendations, the view, the location. Truly a fantastic family vacation. Would highly recommend. Collesie by the Sea is a gem!

The property is spectacular, overlooking Ali’i drive, and the Kona Coast. The infinity pool was an absolute delight. Simply relaxing on the patio alongside it proved to be the spot we enjoyed the most. Nestled just below the old Mamalahoa Highway, the location is great for access to town, as well as other services, shopping, coffee, farms, and such above the town. This one is a winner.

We had a wonderful time and loved the house. It has a gorgeous view. The owner was easy to communicate with and we appreciated the care they put into the home. The beds are comfortable along with comfy sheets. We will go there again in the future:)

This property is exactly as advertised if not more; The host is a great host: extremely responsive, highly organized, and full of recommendations on local gems (prior to check in, we received a 6 page email document with restaurant recommendations, activities, shopping, etc!) We were highly impressed by the fully stocked bar: dark/light rum, gin, whisky, vodka, bitters... to name a few. We added a mezcal to the mix :-) pay it forward...

Great communication before we ever arrived. The house is stunning, pride of ownership was noticed in every aspect. Beautiful grounds, amazing pool, luxurious sheets. The best stocked property I have ever rented. The host was like a personal concierge.

This house is better than the pictures. Everything is well organized, clean, and with tons of extras. Garage is full of beach stuff to use. Loved the sunsets and swimming in the heated pool. Everything was well marked. Would definitely recommend!

This was a great place for our family to stay while in Hawaii. We brought some supplies of our own and realized we didn't even need to because the house comes stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay! Having 2 master bedrooms is great, our kids had their own room with a bathroom and everything. We also really enjoyed the outdoor area with the pool and the waterfall. One thing I didn't know about were the house geckos. My kids weren't big fans of those running around but overall we had a great stay here and would definitely recommend it if you want to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the more touristy areas.

Stayed with family and all enjoyed the great amenities at Collessie. The communication from Shannon before and during the trip made our time at the house and in Kona so much better. The house had everything we needed and is close by to beaches and restaurants. Can't wait to return.

My family (including two daughters) absolutely loved our stay at this amazing vacation rental home. The house was in perfect order and had so many incredible amenities to assist with ease of use. and enjoyment (towels, beach chairs, snorkel equipment, beach gear, garage for a car, etc). The communication with the host, Shannon, was amazing (thanks to Shannon again!!) We were provided with extensive and helpful lists of suggestions for restaurants, beaches, directions, and more). The pool was outstanding and great for older kids (who can swim)--we did turn on the heat daily. The pool waterfall and "volcano" fire were great for atmosphere. The kids enjoyed the badminton set and the small putting green. Those options were great for when we were hanging out at the house. The location involves a drive to anywhere you want to go, but the house location is easy to find. The view over the oceanside from the hillside is wonderful for sunset. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Gorgeous property and perfectly set up for relaxation with unbeatable views. It was a great place to retreat to in the late afternoons for a swim, drinks on the patio, grilling out, and stunning sunsets. The waterfall makes for nice background noise and the volcano is so cool in the evening! Can't say enough good things about the communication, availability and helpfulness Shannon is as a host. We couldn't have felt better about our stay here!

The pictures don't even do this property justice. The decor is impeccable. The kitchen is mammoth such that it is easy for 2 cooks to maneuver with ease. The grounds and landscaping are gorgeous. Our adult children called it "The Estate". We found this beautiful home much superior to and less expensive than staying at a fine resort for a family of 4 adults and 1 child. Shannon is a fine hostess and available at all times for questions and suggestions.

Beautiful property. The landscaping is lush and stunning. We found tons of cute geckos and co qui frogs. The view is amazing. Watching the sunset over the ocean and the infinity pool was fantastic. The house itself was great and the owners include a lot of great stuff like snorkel equipment, boogie boards and even some decent liquor for the adults! Location was good for getting to Two Step (amazing snorkeling), the coffee growing area, and downtown Kailua Kona. A great house, we will hopefully come back someday!

While the house itself was absolutely stunning and a great place to call "home" while in Hawaii, the thing the really set Collesie by the Sea apart was the amazing support and local knowledge of our host. She made sure we had an amazing time, had everything we needed at the house and in town. Can't wait to come back and enjoy another quiet morning on the pool deck enjoying my coffee overlooking the ocean. Mahalo Shannon!

We had an absolutely wonderful time staying here. Shannon the property manager was fantastic and answered all of our questions promptly. The house was stunning and clean. We enjoyed the pool and the view was breathtaking from the patio. We are looking forward to staying here again hopefully in the near future!

The property was absolutely beautiful. The entire family loved both inside and out. The outside view was amazing.

The house is gorgeous and Shan was very attentive during our stay taking care of every need and question. A perfect double master house with a spot for kiddos too that is thoughfully situated on the hill to give views of the ocean no matter where you are in the house. We did find it a little warm in the afternoon and evenings in the house even with windows open, but we are from Colorado and used to very cool evenings. Even so, the house and pool was our kids favorite part of the entire trip and the sunsets can't be beat with a drink by the pool. Thank to the staff for all you did to make our trip a special memory with grandparents and kids.

This place is absolutely stunning and the location is great. It features everything you can possibly want in a vacation rental. You can't beat the sweeping views over the island and the ocean. We loved just lounging by the pool and enjoying beautiful sunsets in the peace and quiet of our own space. We also stayed at one of the fancy resorts in Kohala and it's so much nicer to enjoy all of this without having to deal with other people. The location was also good in that it was just a 5-10 minute drive down to the bustling Kona town with all the shops and restaurants and beaches, and it was easy to get to almost anywhere on the island. The resort area in Kohala definitely felt more isolated. Would love to stay here again! Seriously felt like paradise.

Enjoyed the home, view, pool. Beds were comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed. BBQ was nice to use. TVs were easy to use. Badminton and a few pools toys were fun to have. Host was communicative. The only thing we didn’t care for was the millipedes around and in the house. I understand normal for the area, but wish there were fewer of them. Overall nice stay. Thank you.

Fantastic time at this Home. Beautiful and thoughtfully furnished I'm part Japanese ~ born in Hawaii, so I appreciated the authenticity of the decor. The view was incredible and the landscaping was done well. Thanks the mangement who were readily available (although we didn't need much) and quite accommodating for our requests. Highly recommend this property and it's management.

Loved this private and spacious home with gorgeous views of the coast and ocean. Outstanding attention to detail and communication from the owner. Lots of helpful labels throughout the house: Everything was present, well-stocked and easy to use. The backyard salt water pool was the best pool we've ever experienced. Overall, a wonderful place to stay and we're very happy we did. One detail worth sharing: As of mid-June 2019, construction is currently underway building houses in two adjacent lots, which produced lots of noise during two days. On our final day, we couldn't hear each other over the noise of a nearby backhoe moving dirt while trying to relax at the pool. We spent most daylight hours out exploring the island, so the construction wasn't a big deal for us.

Loved the house and the gorgeous views from the pool. The house is as pictured and very well maintained. The neighborhood is quiet and 20 - 40 minutes from snorkeling and hiking. My only recommendations for improvement would be to include an extra charges upfront and to curb the number of personal deliveries that the owners receive while guests are staying at the property (5+ seems excessive). The house is already luxury priced so I would not expect extras (eg AC). Definitely would recommend.

This is a great house to serve as base to explore Kona and the Big Island in general. The house itself is very nice, with amazing view from the living room and pool. The house has everything you could need during your stay: kitchen utensils, basic spices, towels, etc.
The location is also good: a 5 min drive to Kona, and 20-30 min to the airport.
Communication with the owners and property manager was excellent: both clear from the start and responsive when necessary. The recommendations were very useful, and helped us having a better stay.
Overall a great property, and hosts.

When you look at this home, you really have to pinch yourself and wonder if places like this really exist! The design of the home is quite unique and the quality of the workmanship and furnishings throughout the house are extraordinary.The pool is very private and sunny with flotation devices designed to enhance relaxation. We loved that the pool is salt water, soft to the touch, a nice change from chlorinated pools. We’re short on words to describe the beautiful views from every part of the home. Open space and full sliding doors to the Lanai makes a beautiful transition from inside to outside. Lush landscaping and views as far as the eye can see. Sunset from the infinity pool is one most of the most memorable moments of our stay. Beautifully appointed kitchen with everything you may need even for a gourmet chef, from morning oatmeal to gourmet dinners.
Truly luxurious accommodations, great poolside BBQ, beautiful starry skies at night, lovely grounds with fruit trees and tropical flowers, badminton net and equipment plus the abundance of privacy. We took in the nearby beaches and explorations, and quaint Kona town minutes away. We are counting down the days until our next stay.
